We’ve introduced a new Templates tab under the Sales menu on your left hand navigation where users can:
- Set a template as the default
- Rename templates
- Delete templates
How do I select a template for a shop?
When creating a Shop, after selecting the shop type, users will now have three tabs to pick from:- Distributor’s Templates – Personal templates saved by the user.
- commonsku Templates – A curated selection of 9 templates crafted by our commonsku designers.
- Layouts – Choose from commonsku's 5 core bare layouts to start designing and save as reusable templates.
- Billboard
- Split
- Categories and Carousel
- Poster
- Featured
How do I save a new template?
Once you have made all of your desired customizations to the design of your shop, you can click to save it as a template for your team's future use!

Which elements of my shop will be saved if it's design as a template?
Which elements of my shop will be saved if it's design as a template?
When saving a template on the Design tab inside the Shop, the following elements are preserved:
- Layout
- Shop Name (Logo vs. Text)
- Color
- Product Page Style
- Product List Style
- Background Image
- Category/Title Names
- Carousel Images (for Categories & Carousel layout)
- Banner Images (for Poster layout)
- Button Text
- Banner Text
If I save my shop's design as a template, will the products in the shop save to the template as well?
No, products in the shop will not save to the template. However, users can click Actions > Copy a Shop for that functionality.
